Their rigid, polycarbonate construction, clamshell lid opening to 180o, choice of transparent or coloured bodies and silicone lid gasket with clamps to ensure a water-tight seal enable a wide variety of potential uses, including clinical field sampling, instrument and tools protection and storage and even as portable desiccator cabinets.

Cope are pleased to announce the addition of two personal ultralow freezer solutions for accessing stored samples at the bench. The Arctiko MUF40 is a compact (35 litre), upright freezer operating from -80oC to -60oC, with digital controller including a display and alarms for over/undertemperature and power failure, stainless steel interior, locking door and single compressor system for low noise and energy consumption. The portable Arctiko CryoPorter operates from -80oC to 0oC and holds one accessory aluminium block from a range with apertures for PCR tubes, microcentrifuge tubes or cryogenic vials. It’s Stirling technology, compressor less cooling ensures quiet operation, low power usage and allows the unit to be used in the field from a 12V d.c. supply.

Parafilm Specifications:

Two-way stretch sealing film which is free from plasticisers and resistant to polar substances such as saline solutions, inorganic acid and alkaline solutions for up to 48 hours. Resistant to most of the lower alcohols but is unstable in many common solvents such as diethyl ether and carbon tetrachloride.

  • Stretches up to 200%
  • Clings around irregular shapes and surfaces
